Between Christmas and Easter | Missing the Point

Our new 2024 October Growth Series is entitled Between Christmas and Easter: The Life of Jesus in Luke.

You know the Christmas story.
You know the Easter story.
And to some, that’s all that matters.

Some have reduced their faith to a culture war, for example believing that saying “Merry Christmas” is under attack. Others reduce the Good News about Jesus to the cross only and say something like, “Jesus came to die.”

But Jesus actually lived and taught between Christmas and Easter. Jesus healed and gave hope, especially to people in the margins of society.

While so many talk about Jesus…

It’s Jesus’ turn to talk.

Join us beginning Sunday October 6 for a new series from the Gospel of Luke, Between Christmas and Easter: The Life of Jesus in Luke.

School of Life | Grow to Become Your Best Self

What is the best life advice you’ve ever received?

Most of us have received great advice from family and friends like:

“To thine own self be true.”
“Never stop learning.”
“The perfect is the enemy of the good.”
“Follow your passion.”
“Focus on what you can control.”
“99% of life is just showing up.”

There are hundreds of powerful and meaningful statements like these. There are so many, in fact, that it can be difficult to remember all of them, let alone follow them.

Perhaps there are a few guiding principles, based on Scripture, that sum up much of the great advice we receive.

During School of Life, we will see how much of the great advice we receive can be distilled into three values that can be an empowering and meaningful way of life for all of us.
